Apartmentes Arum: The Boogaard family’s ‘cheese-cover’ farmhouse is situated in the peaceful village of Arum. It was formerly an agricultural and livestock farm and it is now a residential farmhouse. The major part of this farm has a thatched roof. In the farmhouse there are 4 spacious apartments, a group area and a communal games area (160 m2) for sport and games, with a dartboard, table tennis, basket + ball, table football, shuffleboard and a puppet show + puppets.
The apartments each have a living-room with sitting area and cable television, a dining area and a kitchen area with cooking facilities, microwave, fridge and coffee machine. There is a separate bedroom and a bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin. All the apartments have their own entrance and a terrace equipped with sun umbrella, garden chairs and table. The back door of each apartment opens on to the communal games area.
There is a tourist information folder in each apartment. Two apartments have an extra bedroom upstairs, reached via a staircase in the games area. If you wish to rent “het Stolphuis” for a group we have space for ± 27 people. Groups may rent the entire property and use the attractive group area which has a sitting area with tv + dvd, a dining area and a fully equipped open-plan kitchen.
Surroundings
Arum is on the route of the Eleven Cities skating marathon in the borough of Wûnseradiel. Wûnseradiel is very attractive to tourists, whether for its historic buildings, pottery and museums, the beach or the water park.
There is plenty of choice for spending your leisure time. Pleasant places in the surrounding area are: Bolsward, Harlingen, Makkum, Sneek and Leeuwarden. Have a nice stay at our apartments Arum.
