Ouwsterhaule holiday: Jantina Hoeve gives you, on a small scale, an excellent opportunity to relax. Our mini camping-site has a surprising lot of conveniences and privacy. Our farmstead is suitable both for a long stay and for a short stop. We will give you a hospitable welcome. Bed and Breakfast (Bed en Brochje) is provided in two large and comfortable appartments, situated in what used to be the "kjellehok"(calf stables) on the farmyard. They are fitted out with all conveniences
(including cooking facility). Have a nice Ouwsterhaule holiday.
The Jantina Hoeve has unexpectedly many conveniences. Of course there is hot and cold running water. There are a number of showers and toilets. Refrigerator, washing machine and dryer are at your disposal. Should the weather not be as nice as you would want to be, there is a comfortable common room in the stables where you will find tourist information, magazines, games and a TV-set. For the children there are toys (including a G-Kart).
For questions or advice you can turn to Alie and Sietse in the farmhouse.
For those who love cycling, fishing, walking or nature, Jantina Hoeve is an excellent place to start from. The Tjeukermeer (Friesland's biggest lake) and the Skarterrijn (one of the old waterways to the Tjeukermeer) are at walking distance.
Even closer you wil find the bell-cage and the old cemetery. A bit further away there is a woody scenery with the Nannewiid lake.
If you are interested in the culture important part in shaping the character of the landscape, architecture, myth and legends.
For some "city-caprices" you can visit the cosy village of Joure (well-known for ballooning, the traditional farmer's wedding and the "Jouster Pof") Ouwsterhaule holiday!
