Apartments Terneuzen: Welcome in “het Portaal van Vlaanderen”.
Right by the centre of Terneuzen you will find our Bed and Breakfast "het Portaal van Vlaanderen ", named after the sea locking complex close to us, with all it’s activity it is said to be the busiest of the world.
Terneuzen,together with Vlissingen is 3rd port city of the Netherlands. You can take a look around the canal of Ghent to Terneuzen and the sea locking complex.
Furthermore you can walk along the (Wester)scheldeboulevard or in the picturesque centre close by.
The Westerscheldetunnel with its length of 6.6 km starting in Terneuzen is the only opening-up for complete Zeeuws-Vlaanderen to the rest of the Netherlands.
Terneuzen is the heart of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, not only by its central position, it is also the largest municipality (total 55,000 inhabitants) with most of the activity around.
In spite of all this you sleep on a quiet chamber, nearly free of traffic noise.
Your place to stay is in a maisonnette, in our backyard, with two sleeping chambers, two separate toilets and a common bathroom with shower and wash-hand basin. The maisonnette is ideal for groups of 4 persons (140 euro per night, price by 1 January 2008)
However, the chambers are separately let also, for 70 euro per night. (If you book in 2007, 65 euro per chamber per night.)
Should other guests be present there, you will get free bathropes.
The breakfast is consumed in our dining room, but it is possible to put it in the frigidaire at your chamber (simple breakfast)
House animals: Normally permitted, but gladly after consultation.

Free broadband Internet connection at your chamber.
