Apartments Vlissingen: On the peninsula Walcheren, 5 km from the capital Middelburg and at 2 km distance of Vlissingen (Flushing) you'll find, on 100 meters walking distance from the beach, our holiday house (with private-parking). The small wooden cottage is situated on a so called "recreation meadow". Around a vast lawn several maisonnettes are situated. By the form of the meadow a sociable and quiet environment dominates.
The holiday house is a very well basis to go cycling in the splendid Walcheren surroundings. Go shopping in Vlissingen, Middelburg, Goes, or make a day excursion to Brugge or Ghent (Belgium) . Also a trip with fiets-voetveer (ferry for cyclists and pedestrians) is a must. Furthermore visiting the Oosterscheldekering and visitor-centre Neeltje Jans is possible. Also visiting the arsenal in Vlissingen (see sharks and rogs) is very nice.
Those who like historical aspects can enjoy in many museums, but you'll find also in the landscape enough tracks of the history (fort Rammekens, bunker paths (WW II), etc.)
No sense to cook yourself? In the direct surroundings you find very good restaurants. A pan wafer maisonnette and a snackbar are near. Something further in Vlissingen you'll find e.g. an Argentinian restaurant or you can go "wokken" at a Chinese restaurant.
For those who like to walk, you can make a range walk or Nordic Walking on the beach.. Through the dunes a vast walkingpath is situated..
Finally: not for nothing it is called here: "the Zeeuwse Rivièra". With most of the hours sun per year this is the spot come to. The beaches in the summer are maintained daily and the seawater is clean. It is delicious to stay on the sunny south range of Walcheren.
Live/sleep room of 3 x 5 meters is the mainroom of the house. The kitchen block-system is in the same room. The house is pre-eminently suitable for 2 persons, but there are beds for 4 persons.
There is a shower/toilet space, you cook on butaangas. Warm water comes by means of a butaangas geyser. There is a gas heater..
Shops (Golff, Kruitvat, Lidl, bakery and vegetables) you find at a short distance in the neighbourhood Paauwenburg in Vlissingen at 2 km. Here you can withdraw money. On walking distance, in the Vebenabos, there is a small supermarket
