"De Oude Brink" is a charming farmhouse surrounded by an enormous garden. For centuries, the garden was a part of a so-called “Brink”, a village green typical of the region, where farmers used to herd their cattle and gather wood for their houses. Today, the garden offers a lovely place to sit under the age-old oaks, while leaving plenty of room for children to play soccer, play on the swings or just play.
Guest house "De Oude Brink" is located in the centre of Eext, a rural village in the northeast of Drenthe. The village boasts as many as seven village greens and numerous authentic farmhouses. There are plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling in the lovely landscape of the region’s rivulet “Drentsche Aa”, while the town of Assen and the city of Groningen are only thirty car minutes away. The guest section of the farmhouse has its own entrance and accommodates four people. It was renovated in 2005 and fitted with all conveniences, including an excellent kitchen. For lovers of regional products, an all-regional breakfast is available at a small surcharge.
