Holiday Amsterdam: staying in a monument.
Doctor's villa from 1923. Architect A. BoeijInga. In 1997 it was declared a state monument. Four general practitioners have lived and worked here. My husband bought this practice as a General Practitioner in 1961 and retired in 1990.
I was his assistant. After his death in 1992, I decided to stay here. I bought the house from the municipality who have now restored it: They tried to save as many original details as possible, outside as well as inside the house.
I think the result is splendid.
